Ben's 1st Birthday

I can't believe it. My tiny baby turned one. It's so hard to believe that a year has gone by already. He has been the most wonderful little boy. He's so happy! About a month ago he started to try walking. Now he is doing so well. He walks all around the house. All he needs to learn to do is get up from a sitting position without the help of the wall or a chair. He just had his 1 year appointment. He's still a scrawny little bugger. He only weighed 17 lbs and 6 oz. The doctor said to give him Carnation instant breakfast instead of just plain whole milk. The problem isn't what Ben eats, it's the amount of activity he does. He just burns off every calorie we put in him. We had a couple of parties for him. The first one was on his birthday on Thursday. His sisters were here so we had a small party. That's when he had his first cake. Yeah, he loved it. He got spoiled of course. He got his own cell phone (Fisher Price), books, and a toy where you put the right shapes in the holes. So fun! I will post those pictures later.

Yesterday we had another party for him with the extended family. My dad's birthday is today so we decided to combine the two parties. Besides, how cool is it that Ben got to celebrate his first birthday with his grandpa?!? Once agian I am stealing the digital scrapbooked pages from my sister Lisa. She has some serious skills and makes my job much easier. So Happy Birthday little Ben. We sure love you.
