Ben had his two month check-up on Monday. I can't believe he is two months old already. The doctor is very impressed with how well he is doing. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. The doctor was also amazed at how strong his neck is. He said most babies at this age still have pretty floppy heads, but not our Ben. He also got his immunizations. He got three shots and one oral one. He loved the oral one because it was so sweet. He really didn't cry much. I teared up of course. I had to hold his legs, which made me so sad that he was trusting me and I let the nurse do that to him. Cal had the camera ready so we could capture some pictures of the dreaded event. We probably seem a bit masochistic to document such a horrible event. I just hope he can forgive us some day.
So here is a picture of Ben just "hanging" out before he got his shots. Look at how trusting he is. He has no idea what's coming. I love this picture because it shows how he's actually getting a little chubby.
This is one of the nurse showing me how to hold his feet.
The torture has started. Look how upset he is.
Of course I comforted him at the end...or maybe it was him who comforted me.

I just have to say that I am very impressed with all of your blogging today! It is so fun to see you guys and to see how fast Ben is growing. I am right there with you, I think the shots are harder on me than on the babies. Allie hated that oral one so I am glad we don't have to do that one next time.
Your blog is so cute. It's fun to see pictures of your family. I love the mother's day pictures. I have to say Ben in Cal's hat is one of my favorites. Shots were sad but wait until the first time Ben gets hurt and there is blood. I cried when a little boy scratched Sadie's head. I'm still embarassed about it but mom's love their babies.
