Well, Cal and I have decided to join the blogger band wagon. I've really enjoyed reading my friends' blogs and want to thank you for the inspiration. Well, first a little about us. Cal and I were married on May 11, 2007. We've had over 6 months of wedded bliss (well something like that anyway). We spent the summer seeing the sights of the United States. We'll post some pictures of our adventure soon. We spent 3 weeks on the road. We left Idaho Falls at about 12:30 P.M. on July 5th and arrived in Hartsville, SC about 32.5 hours later. We drove straight through stopping only for an occasional bathroom break and fill-up. We rolled up to his grandpa's farm a little after midnight and were welcomed by some bleery eyed relatives. It was the first time I had met his sister Heather and brother Jared. They were very gracious in welcoming me to the family. Over the course of our trip we saw lots of sights including: Myrtle Beach, Richmond, Washington D.C., Philadelphia (where we hung out with Alyssa), NYC, Niagra Falls, and the entire gambit of church history sites. It was a long time on the road, but it was definitely a memory maker. Cal and I missed his two little girls, McKenna who just turned 5 on Halloween, and Cassidy who will turn 3 in March. They are such sweethearts and make it hard to be away. We've decided to add to our happy family and are expecting a baby at the end of May. Cal has been very patient in dealing with me and my hormones.
We spent Thanksgiving in Lindon with my brother Scott and his family. The girls had such a great time with their new cousins. Many ping pong games were lost during the vacation. I've lost my high school skills. Cal and I got a free ping pong table last Wednesday so we can't wait for future tournaments!
We also went to Cal's aunt Pam's on Thanksgiving. We're always looking for an opportunity for extra dessert. :) It was great to see his aunts and uncles. His sister Allison and Brother Josh were there also. On Friday night we went over to Josh and Jenny's for dinner and a little bonding time. Baby Jake is as cute as ever!
Well, now that I've started blogging, I will try to post regularly. It's the most effective way for me to get my journal written! Hope all is well with everyone else.
